Moving bridges provide level access across waterways, tying places and navigation routes together as well as providing a sense of theatre when they open. Drawing on a back catalogue of moving structures, this talk will look at the six degrees of motion and how they can be applied to allow navigation and traffic to pass through or across a gap.
This talk will feature recent projects fabricated by Cake Industries including the Dinosaur Swing Bridge and Cody Dock Rolling Bridge.
