CPGCE meeting - Calgary Engineering Community

The CPGCE are organising a bridge walk across three downtown Calgary bridges. This includes the Peace Bridge, 10th Street Bridge and the Bow River Pathway Bridge.
Pedestrian bridges are quite common all over the world and vary from engineering marvels (Langkawi Sky Bridge in Malaysia) to architectural feats (Henderson Waves Bridge in Singapore). Join us and our guest subject matter expert to examine where Calgary’s bridges fit in the grand bridge spectrum. Some of the discussion items will include their design, construction and Calgary specific features of the three bridges.
After the bridge walk there will be social event held at the Kensington Arms Pub to discuss exactly how England so soundly trounced France in the World Cup final a few weeks earlier.
