Chartered Engineers Pacific - Business Responsibility: Risk and Opportunity

Christie Stephenson will speak about the expectations of corporate social and environmental responsibility for companies and how they are both risk and opportunities. Resilient companies understand both their own stakeholders as well as societal trends. Christie will highlight examples of companies that have misread expectations and overview initiatives aimed to increases companies social and environmental responsibility.  

Christie Stephenson is the Executive Director of the Dhillon Centre for Business Ethics at UBC Sauder School of Business. She currently serves on the boards of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility and the UBC Staff Pension Plan, as well as on the governance committee at BlueShore Financial.
