Chartered Membership Exam Preparation Course - Commences 21st February 2018

A part-time evening course to prepare candidates for the Chartered Membership Examination of the Institution of Structural Engineers is to be held in the North Thames Regional Group area starting 21 February 2018.

The numbers are limited to 36 places to allow a free exchange of questions to the presenters.

The emphasis will be on conceptual solutions to past CM Examination questions, examination time management and presentation, covering:
  • Reinforced concrete
  • Structural steelwork
  • Foundations
  • Analysis
  • Reports
The CM Examination questions treated in this course will relate prinicipally to the design of building-type structures, including their foundations.  Structures of a special nature, such as silos, bunkers, chimneys, off-shore platforms, road/rail bridges and seismic structures will not be considered.
