North Thames Regional Group AGM and Technical Talk on Principal Place

‚ÄčA new, landmark residential tower has risen where the City meets Shoreditch. At 163m high, the 50-storey Principal Tower is destined to become one of London’s tallest residential buildings.

Principal Tower has been designed as part of a mixed-use scheme at Principal Place.  The tower’s form and orientation have resulted from precise engineering that has unlocked a site with a series of challenging constraints. The building’s reinforced concrete frame comprises posttensioned slabs spanning between the central core and perimeter columns. Internal columns have been avoided to maximise layout flexibility.
