River Usk Bridge Strenghtening

The M4 River Usk Bridge is a strategically vital structure that carries the M4 and is currently the subject of extensive strengthening and refurbishment works as part of the Brynglas Tunnel Refurbishment Contract. Client requirements in terms of network availability and its location within a sensitive Special Area of Conservation (SAC)/Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) area imposed challenging constraints that would require an innovative solution.
