This seminar is a must for all structural engineers who are involved in developing brownfield sites, particularly as we and our clients aim to target net zero carbon solutions.

Advice will be provided on how to minimise the cost of developing contaminated sites in accordance with the regulations. This will include soil waste classification; verification of gas protection measures; re-use of existing foundations and specification of low carbon foundation design; and specification of cost effective ground investigations to mitigate development risks.

The seminar will comprises the following presentations:

Ian Cochrane – Director, Mason Evans
Dealing with contamination - The movement of soils on development sites.

Andrew McGuire, Associate, Mason Evans
Ground gas, from assessment to protection and verification.

Jo Strange – Technical Director, CGL
Sustainability and foundations.

Simon Hunt – Chartered Senior Engineer, CGL
Ground investigation techniques for geotechnical design of structures.

This seminar will conclude with an opportunity for delegates to ask the speakers questions.
