In order to comply with the requirements of the Engineering Council the Institution has to ensure that it provides and maintains a code of conduct to provide guidance to members on how to conduct their professional activities.
The last revision of the code was issued in January 2022 following work undertaken by the review working party over the previous two years. Particular topics that were incorporated were climate change, structural safety and sustainability. Consideration was also given to the Engineering Council Statement of Ethical Principles.
The aim of the online presentation is to give some background into the review and highlight how changes have been made to make the document more accessible and flexible for the future.
