This course will equip structural engineers with fundamental knowledge of foundation analysis and design according to Eurocode 7 principles.

The course is designed to impart the fundamental skills required for the geotechnical analysis and design of common types of foundations, including pads, strips, rafts, combined footings, piled foundations and retaining walls. Eurocode 7 design concepts are used throughout and worked examples are given for various foundation designs.

This one day training course uses lecture presentations, worked examples, tutorials and delegate discussion to deliver the fundamental geotechnical skills required to design wide variety foundations commonly used for buildings and civil engineering infrastructure.

The course is aptly anchored on the design philosophy of structural Eurocodes.
