The first joint international conference organised by the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) of ASCE explores the themes of collaboration, efficiency and safety in global engineering projects.
We live in a world complicated by the many standards and codes on which we base our designs, and where the competences and experiences of built environment professionals have been tested, certified, licensed and accredited to different benchmarks. Traditional materials are being pushed to new levels of exposure and performance and innovative materials are being adopted without benefit of evaluation of historic performance.
Transfer of knowledge is an essential element in our ability to meet the future demands and expectations in the countries where we live and work. Join us in Dubai for a conference where keynote speakers and in-depth panels will explore nine different iconic structures to compare what worked well, what challenges were faced and what the project team might do differently next time.

Aurecon is an engineering, design and advisory company, but not as you know it. We’ve re-imagined engineering.
The IStructE/IES Joint Committee is pleased to organise the 10th IStructE Asia-Pacific forum on structural engineering with a theme on amazing structures.
Learn how to approach risk assessments and understand the importance of considering risk during the design process.
The Institution of Structural Engineers is lead sponsor for the 33rd East Midlands Engineering and Science Professionals (EMESP) Annual Prestige Lecture - 2019.
A one-day desk-based workshop on how to use bamboo structurally. The workshop will be interactive, with a mixture of lecture-style, individual and group exercises.
A half day seminar that covers embedded pile walls, bottom up and top down construction of basements, all in accordance with Eurocodes 2 and 7.
The Eurocodes are the most technical advanced codes in the world, and this includes Eurocode 2 for the design of concrete structures.
This course, over five consecutive Monday afternoons, is aimed at graduate and qualified engineers wishing to enhance their understanding and skill of design of concrete structures to BS EN 1992.
Enjoy a black tie evening and help celebrate the unique contribution structural engineers make to society as creative design professionals and the guardians of public safety.
An opportunity to learn about a variety of topics on how to overcome the everyday structural engineering challenges with the help of structural engineering software.
