An in-person technical presentation on the design and construction of the Museum of the Future, an iconic building in Dubai.

A joint presentation (Killa Design and Buro Happold) of one of the most iconic buildings in Dubai.

Speakers

Allel Hadri FIStructE, Killa Design 
Allel is a qualified civil and structural engineer with a wealth of experience gained over 42 years in the UK, North Africa and Middle East, and particularly the UAE.  He has completed over 250 projects covering residential, commercial, hospitality, education, cultural, healthcare, industrial and leisure.

Allel spent most of his career with Atkins. Joined Atkins (UK) as Assistant Engineer in 1980, moved to Dubai Office in 1983 as Senior Structural Engineer, and progressed to become the Resident Director of Atkins Dubai Office.

Prior to Killa Design, Allel was the Resident Director of UAE and Iraq for SSH International.

Allel is a Founding Partner of Killa Design. He was instrumental in taking the consultancy to the current level of well over 100 staff with a variety of projects in the Gulf and India.

Rob May, Buro Happold
Rob has extensive experience leading large multidisciplinary project teams across multiple sectors and regions internationally, Rob has delivered a variety of challenging projects throughout his career. He has led significant stadia, arenas, aviation, infrastructure, museum and cultural building projects. On the MoTF project, Rob helped to optimise the primary structure load paths in the early stages.

Rob is passionate about design and innovation and is part of our global innovation and technology steering groups. He has a broad experience across sectors and regions, but he still applies his depth of knowledge in structural engineering, project delivery, and technology (as one of the co-founders of the BHoM open-source code framework).

Louise Sullivan, Buro Happold
Since joining Buro Happold fifteen years ago as a facade consultant, Louise has gained experience in designing and procuring complex facades across Europe and the Middle East. She has developed expertise in engineering a wide range of materials and facade systems, with a keen ability to resolve technical issues relevant to facade design.

Louise’s career spans architectural and engineering practices, where she has developed strong skills in leading and coordinating globally dispersed consultant teams on large projects. Her specific passion for the Middle East drives her to embrace the unique opportunities and challenges that the region presents.
