The Institution of Structural Engineers Western Counties Regional Group and the University of the West of England (UWE) are running their series of courses on the material Eurocodes. These courses are aimed at practicing Engineers making the transition from British Standards to the Eurocodes, and also graduates developing their design skills.
The Winter 2023 course will run over 5 weeks:
Week 1:
Eurocode: Basis of design and Eurocode 1: Actions on structures - Introduces the principles of limit state design and loading.
Weeks 2 - 5:
Foundation Design to Eurocode 7
Each weekly session will include presentations, a review of fully worked examples and a tutorial period for delegates to practice further examples.
There will be a short break for refreshments.
Dates:
Wednesdays - 15/02/2023 to 15/03/2023.
Wednesday 29 March 2023 is also booked in case of a cancelled week due to bad weather.

Bob Benton MIStructE
Bob Benton is a chartered engineer with experience in designing building and civil engineering structures including bridges.
He is a visiting lecturer at the University of the West of England (UWE) and has also authorised educational material for the British Standards Institution.
