A363 Sally in The Woods is a strategic link and an abnormal load route between Bath and Wiltshire.
This talk describes improvements to 1.2km long abnormal load route and extremely busy 24/7 highway in a cutting with massive longitudinal cracks and dips in several locations along its length.
General maintenance costs were around £0.5M each year before the capital scheme was implemented.

Joined Milton Keynes Borough council highway maintenance section and was involved in structures, highway surfacing schemes, stabilising of concrete roads using cement products that he helped bring to the market as a chemist. As an Incorporated engineer joined Oxfordshire CC designing Highway schemes.
Joined URETEK as technical sales representative and researched into resins and their implications in major structural implications. Now owns Bloxham Stabilisation Company Ltd, assisting companies to understand resins in all forms.
