Last run back in 2019, the IStructE Yorkshire Region Committee have updated their ‘Engineering Practice’ course to cover the new IPD (Initial Professional Development) regulations, which come into force on 1 September 2023. The course will cover a range of the Initial Professional Development (IPD) Core Objectives, as listed below.
A total of nine workshops held at the University of Sheffield on Monday evenings from 2 October to 27 November 2023. All sessions will run from 18:00 - 19:45 (approx.) with a short comfort break half way through. Unfortunately this course isn't available online.
Graduate Members of the IStructE who are preparing for their PRI (Professional Review Interview) and Chartered exams who require further guidance in topics outside structural analysis and design. The course is likely to be of particular interest to engineers working for smaller practices.

20 November: Commercial and Legal Part 1: Law and Contract Documentation (Core Objectives 3.2 and 3.5)
27 November: Commercial and Legal Part 2: Commercial Awareness (Core Objective 3.4
