The Underpinning of Durham Castle

THIS lecture is by way of being an interim description of the work which is being done at Durham, because that work is not yet complete. Portions of it, however, have been definitely completed, and I thought that the matter would be of sufficient interest to the members of the Institution to warrant giving them some informntion at this stage, without waiting may be two or three years for the whole of the work to be completed.
