Ultimate Strength of Plane Curved Girders

In this paper a general analytical method is outlined for calculating the collapse loads of plane curved girders of any shape. The method applies to any type of loading and to girders curved in three dimensions. Examples are given of circular girders and right-angled bents. For the former, Tables of collapse loads are obtained by means of an electronic computer. E. 0. IMEGWU
