Side-sway in Multi-Storey Frames Identical in Each Storey

This paper describes a method, based on the moment distribution method, for the calculation of bending moments due to sidesway in certain multi-storey frames. The method is based on the conventional methods in which the frame is assumed to behave in a completely elastic manner. The method could possibly be adapted for use with the slope-deflexion method, but this approach has not been considered herein. W. Bacon
