The Lateral Buckling of Concrete Beams lifted by Cables

Part 1 of the paper gives a versatile numerical procedure for determining the elastic buckling loads of slender beams loaded in the vertical plane. This procedure, which readily takes into account different loading and support conditions and simultaneously handles lateral bending and torsion, is then used to study the self-weight buckling of long beams during lifting.
