A Finite Element Model for Non-linear Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Framed Structures

A finite element modelis presented for non-linear analysis of reinforced concrete framed structures. The model considers non-linear stress/strain characteristics and cracking of concrete and yielding of concrete and steel. The reinforced concrete element uses an improved quadrilateral Q16 with reinforcement in any orientation. The subregioning technique is used to improve the accuracy for coarser discretisation which results in computational economy. C.S. Krishnamoorthy and A. Panneerselvam
