Discussion on Load Testing of Concrete Building Structures by J. b. Menzies, D.S. Jones and C.W. Oliver

Mr B. B. Russoff (F) (Phillips Consultants): Clause 9.6.2 of CP 110 states, ‘when testing prestressed concrete, allowance should be made for the effect of prestress at the time of testing being above the final value’. I should like to hear how the authors interpret this practically, when making load tests.
