Simplified Interactive Analysis of Long Framed buildings on Raft Foundations

The interactive analysis of rafted framed structures founded on inhomogeneous soil media generally requires the use of a large computer, and is expensive. Many structures of this type are long and have harmonic similarity. In this paper the feasibility of using a much more economical 2-dimensional approach to analyse these structures is demonstrated.
