1985 and all that: the North Thames Branch

The speed with which memory fades is a fact of life that never ceases to surprise me. What follows is therefore a recollection that may or may not be wholly accurate! It now seems as though the Institution has always been constituted in its present form, but it is less than 9 years since a Development Plan was published (The Structural Engineer, June 1984) which fundamentally altered the form of the Institution.
