Associate-Member - academic requirements

Candidates wishing to apply to be an Associate-Member must hold an Institution accredited 3 year IEng degree e.g. BSc, BEng (ordinary) or hold an accredited HND. In the latter case a period of Further Learning must also be demonstrated. The Institution’s Associate-Member Examination completes the Further Learning requirement for those holding an HND.

International agreements

Candidates holding a degree in structural and/or civil engineering recognised under an international agreement e.g. Sydney Accord, FEANI etc currently meet the academic requirements for Associate-Members

Applicants whose academic qualifications are not accredited or recognised under an agreement may apply for the Institution's academic assessment.
