Three Day Course on Base Isolated Structures
PAHO Building, Dayrells Road, Barbados, 1st - 3rd February 2012
The Course on Base Isolated Structures was hosted by the Institute of Structural Engineers Caribbean Division in association with the Pan American Health Organization and the Council of Caribbean Engineering Organizations.
The course was specifically targeted towards Engineers, Architects, Contractors and other Shareholders about an alternative method for Seismic Design in the Region. The Course was organised to educate participants about the use of Base isolation and supplement damping in new-build and existing critical facilities, such as Hospitals, in the event of an Earthquake.
