fibUK seminar on developments in structural concrete - book now

Published: 03/09/2013

It is now a year since the Institution took over the secretariat of fibUK, the UK national group of the International Federation for Structural Concrete.

Over this period fibUK has gone from strength to strength, expanding its membership significantly and organising a series of highly successful joint meetings with the Institution.

Building on this success, the Institution will host the fibUK seminar, ‘Developments in Structural Concrete’ on 6 November 2013. This half day event (sponsored by Laing O’Rourke) will feature eminent practitioners speaking on subjects ranging from off-site manufacture to service life design, and recent technical developments to practical case studies.

Gordon Clark, the current President of fib, will provide an overview of international fib activity, and Steve Denton, the Chairman of fibUK, will describe plans for the future development of Eurocodes.

Denton said:

“After an extremely successful year working collaboratively with the Institution of Structural Engineers, I am delighted to launch this inaugural event, which will provide practitioners with a valuable update on developments in the design and construction of structural concrete’.

You can book your place at the event here.

Sponsored by Laing O'Rourke.
