A proud day for new members

Published: 07/12/2017

New Chartered Members Christopher Blust, Lindsay Christink and Charlie Ashton

Over 60 structural engineers attended Institution HQ on Friday 1 December to receive their certificates of membership from 2017 President, Ian Firth, and Chief Executive, Martin Powell.

Besides Chartered Members, six new Fellows received certificates, as did new Technician and Associate grade Members. Many of those attending were accompanied by friends and family keen to witness the proud occasion. Board Member Tanya de Hoog welcomed the guests to the Institution and gave a speech on the value of Institution membership.

Congratulations to all who attended on the day. Chartered Membership (and the MIStructE designation) is recognised around the world as a symbol of professional and technical excellence and an international passport to practice.
