Congratulations to EEFIT Student Member, Harriette Stone, who was presented with the ICE’s Emerging Engineers Award (EEA) for the London region on the 20 March, beating three other finalists to the prize.
Harriette was recognised for her presentation on the use of omnidirectional cameras and UAVs to assess structural damage after major earthquakes, with a case study covering the 2016 Ecuadorian Earthquake. The work was partly carried out thanks to an EEFIT Research Grant.
Harriette will go on to compete against winners from the other regions in the EEA Global Final 2017.
‘I was up against some brilliant research and presenters and I am so happy to have come away with the win.’
