Faith Wainwright appointed 2018 President of The Institution of Structural Engineers
Faith Wainwright MBE FREng DEng (Hon) FIStructE FICE has been appointed 2018 President of The Institution of Structural Engineers.
Faith has a strong track record in multidisciplinary engineering projects, collaboration and knowledge sharing. She is a Director of Arup and an expert in skill-based communities. Faith leads the firm’s strategy for communities of professional practice and developed its innovative Masters programme in collaboration with partner universities.
Faith’s structural design projects have included many award-winning buildings, from the American Air Museum in Duxford to the Tate Modern. With a passion for technical excellence, collaboration, and leadership, Faith was awarded an MBE in 2012 for Services to the Built Environment and Engineering Professions, and holds an Honorary Doctorate from Bath University.
On her appointment as President, Faith Wainwright said:

Faith gave her inaugural address to the Institution at its Bastwick Street headquarters on Thursday 11 January.
