Join the Structural-Safety Young Members' Scheme

Published: 22/05/2018

Spread the word about vital safety issues and gain CPD points.

Structural-Safety is looking for up to three UK-based Graduate or Technician Members to join its committee as part of a mentored development programme lasting two years - it’s a great opportunity to enjoy one-to-one mentoring with a senior member of Structural-Safety, network with senior industry figures, organise CROSS Young Member Forum events and disseminate Structural-Safety’s data.

There will also be the chance to contribute to Structural-Safety publications, engage with CROSS sponsor organisations like HSE as well as clients, consultants, contractors and manufacturers. The scheme will be recognised as CPD by both the Institution and the ICE.

The role would require around five days per year out of the office. Applicants can be based anywhere in the UK as much of the work can be done remotely. The Structural-Safety quarterly meetings take place in London and the Young Members will be encouraged to attend these meetings in person, for which reasonable travel costs will be covered.

Employer benefits

Employers should note that the Scheme offers a chance to develop the technical knowledge and leadership potential of your young engineers and demonstrate your firm’s commitment to safety.

Apply Now

Complete the form and submit your application with your CV, 500-word statement, and a reference from your line manager by 29 June.
