The Institution publishes a wealth of high quality information spanning the breadth of the structural engineering discipline, including:
The Structural Engineer
The Institution’s membership magazine is published 11 times a year (Nov/Dec is a double issue) and contains a wide range of technical articles, features, project-related material, professional guidance and opinion pieces. With a digital archive containing thousands of articles, the magazine is a globally recognised repository of seminal structural engineering literature, to which all major academic libraries subscribe.
Structures is a peer-reviewed research journal. Created to encourage greater interaction between researchers and practitioners, Structures considers submissions from across the discipline. Members (excluding Students) can access all content for free through our dedicated portal. Academics and students may have access to Structures through Elsevier’s ScienceDirect platform.
Manuals, reports and guides
These publications may take the form of short reports – where the expedient delivery of information is paramount – to larger, multi-author titles that cover a topic in significant technical depth. Carefully authored and reviewed, these are available in print and electronic formats from the bookshop.
