In accordance with Procedural Rule 8.3 (01/19/V3REG4) the following decision of the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) is published with the Member's name.

The PCC concluded its investigation of a Complaint against a member (graduate member) at a meeting held on 27 April 2022. The PCC issued its decision on 6 June 2022 which determined that the member had failed to comply with Articles 5 and 6 of the Institution’s Code of Conduct.
 
The member was directed to issue an Apology to the complainant, pursuant to Regulation 4.2.2.1(2). The Apology was to be suitably worded in an open, clear and unconditional manner and was required to address fully the matters upheld in the complaint.
 
The member subsequently failed to comply with the PCC’s decision.
 
In respect of the member's failure to comply with the PCC’s Decision and sanctions the PCC Suspended member's membership in accordance with regulation 4.2.2.8 (2).
 
In accordance with Rule 9 of the Disciplinary Procedural Rules, the member is entitled, within 30 days after receipt of the Decision of the PCC to lodge an Appeal. No such Appeal having been lodged: 

The member is suspended from membership of The Institution of Structural Engineers for a period of 60 days commencing 24 February 2023.

 





 

** The report above was amended on 27 April 2023 to exclude any references to the member's name. This is following the member's compliance with the Apology order and reinstatement of his Membership on 26 April 2023
