South Eastern Structural Awards​ winners announced

The awards, which showcase the region’s structural engineering talent, were announced during a ceremony on 18 February 2020.

All awards were judged on the structural engineering content of the applications, and presented by IStructE President, Don McQuillan.

 

 

This year's winning projects were:

Small Project - Boutique Office in Paddington by Cundall

Medium Project - Water Street Bridge by COWI

Large Project - St Nicholas SEN School, Purley by Lyons O'Neill

Most Innovative Project - Carpenters Land Bridge by COWI

Most Sustainable Project - Sartfell Cottage & Education Centre by Conisbee

Refurbishment Project - Wellington House, Wimbledon by Cundall

UK Project - Storey’s Field Centre and Eddington Nursery by AECOM

International Project - Arter Contemporary Art Gallery, Istanbul, Turkey by Thornton Thomasetti

 

The following projects were commended by the judges:

Medium Project - Cottage Hospice, Five Ashes by vkhp-consulting

Large Project - Eltham Cinema by AECOM

Most Innovative Project - Wimbledon Court No.1 Redevelopment by Thornton Thomasetti

Refurbishment Project - Herondale Avenue by Graphic Structures

UK Project - Boeing GoldCare Gatwick by Mott MacDonald
