BREEAM inspires developers and creators to excel, innovate and make effective use of resources, which makes BREEAM certified developments attractive, generating sustainable environments that enhance well-being for the people who live and work in them. This BRE Academy course has been designed to help understand, in depth, the essence of what the BREEAM Environmental Assessment Methodology is about, what it involves, and how to successfully support the BREEAM process day to day.
Having completed this course participants:
- Will have information on delivering BREEAM efficiently
- Will understand the BREEAM process and terminology
- Should be able to navigate the BREEAM manuals
- Should be able to avoid common mistakes and manage risk from pre-tender through to completion.
The course content will enable teams to be proactive in planning, delivery and managing risk and to note opportunities for high performance at low cost and impact to the overall program plan. It closes with a 30 minute online examination which consists of 40 multiple choice and true-false style questions, designed to test comprehension of course materials (rather than memorizing facts and figures). On successful completion, the BREEAM Associate title and badge of recognition are awarded and can be used to verify BREEAM knowledge and promote the credential on personal profiles such as CV’s, tenders, business cards and social media. You will also be given one year’s free subscription and have access to FREE CPD webinars on bre.ac. From the second subscription year onwards, to maintain your credentials, you will need to upload proof of 15 hours of relevant CPD onto the BRE Academy CPD portal, and a subscription fee of £50+VAT will apply.
