The E-Training system has been developed to allow instant access to technical training courses. The courses can be purchased and undertaken either by individual engineers or through organisations.

Structural engineering of the Shard
Designed by structural engineers WSP and architect Renzo Piano for Sellar Property, the Shard comprises 26 storeys of offices, 13 of apartments, three of restaurants and a 19 storey hotel. It is surmounted by a 65m tall spire, containing a public viewing gallery, bringing the height to 310m.

The talk be given by John Parker and will concentrate on the structural aspects of the Shard: its design, construction and unusual features.
