Project Description

The project includes the transformation of century-old warehouse units adjacent to the construction of modular high-rise towers. It faced significant challenges due to the site's topography, geology, and limited access, as well as the need to preserve historical structures while integrating modern elements.

Judge’s comments

This is a project of two parts. The historic warehouses were successfully transformed into a luxurious house through rigorous engineering analysis and innovative structural integration while preserving architectural aesthetics.

Key structural engineering innovations included the use of a circular earth retaining structure for basement construction eliminating the need for temporary steel strutting and Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) for the high-rise towers. These techniques improved construction efficiency. The integration of digital technology throughout the project lifecycle, from design to facilities management, further enhanced the project's success.
