This on-demand webinar supports the Institution’s Pan-African Structural Engineering Knowledge Partnership.

In this webinar, presenters introduced standardised approaches to the design and construction of key bridge typologies for rural access.

By the end of the session, you will:

  • Understand why trail and rural bridges are a critical intervention for last-mile access in the rural context.

  • Gain an overview of standardised design and construction of bridge typologies suitable for rural access across Africa.

  • Learn from practical case studies illustrating successful rural bridge delivery at scale.

  • Understand how governments, non-government organisations (NGOs), and practitioners can access technical support and capacity-building pathways
