Membership Qualifications Executive

Membership Qualifications Executive - Candidate pack

Are you an organised and confident individual with experience in the membership sector? Do you want to develop your knowledge of the built environment sector and act as first point of contact for existing and potential members?

We are the Institution of Structural Engineers. The world’s largest membership body dedicated to the art and science of structural engineering. We represent the best creatives and innovators in the profession at a global level and tackling climate change is at the top of our agenda.

The Role

As a Membership Qualifications Executive you will act as secretary to the Application and Professional Review Panel (A&PR Panel) and will process a variety of applications including (but not limited to) Technician, Fellow and Associate.  You will be involved in the production of statistical reports to be reported to the A&PR Panel and Membership Committee and work collaboratively across the teams within the Membership and Education Directorate.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

  • Knowledge of assessment procedures for professional membership bodies, and an understanding of academic qualifications relating to Further Education / Higher Education sectors

  • Experience using CRM systems to ensure effective data maintenance

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Experience delivering administrative and secretariat support in the professional membership sector would be advantageous.

Scheme Administrator
Are you an experienced administrator who prides yourself on your attention to detail and organisational skills? Do you want to play an important role in the safety of buildings and structures?

We are the Institution of Structural Engineers. The world’s largest membership body dedicated to the art and science of structural engineering. We represent the best creatives and innovators in the profession at a global level and tackling climate change and safety is at the top of our agenda.

The Role
This skilled administrative role will provide support to CROSS (Collaborative Reporting for Safer Structures) and SSL (Structural Safety Ltd). The Scheme Administrator will support the CROSS team, panels and committees alongside the ability to learn and be engaged in wider aspects of the team such as website content and editing of safety reports.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:
  • Excellent proven organisational skills
  • Client focused interpersonal skills
  • Experience of delivering administrative support
  • Ability to write agendas and take minutes
Experience of working in a membership body or similar would be advantageous.

Committee/Panel Support Executive (Secretariat Executive)
Committee Panel Support Executive - Candidate Pack

Get involved in shaping innovation and regulatory standards acting as secretariat to committees of the leading professional body of Structural Engineering.

Support a variety of panels and committees, each of which focus on distinct areas within the spectrum of structural engineering, including driving their associated activities. The committees and panels give rise to the evolution of ideas, and the production of guidance, working with members who volunteer their time for such functions.
