Latter, of British Steel's Structural Advisory Service, writes from Redcar in Cleveland: I write to express my considerable concern at what appears to be a serious flaw in the current arrangements for the approval of the structural design standards, within BSI. At present the highest approval necessary is that of the relevant subcommittee under the aegis of B/525. Such subcommittees are concerned solely with the interests of one material. Verulam
