David has authored and coauthored over 50 publications on the structural use of bamboo and has been deeply involved in the development of bamboo codes and standards internationally, including ISO standards. Amongst his publications, it is worth highlighting the new IStructE bamboo design manual he coauthored with Sebastian.
Seb is an Associate Structural Engineer in Arup’s Specialist Technology Analytics & Research Team and a specialist in the use of bamboo, especially for housing in seismic areas. He has co-authored technical papers on bamboo in The Structural Engineer and was also involved in the revision of ISO 22156 (Structural Design of Bamboo).
