A technical talk on ground investigation.

As demand for land continues to grow across Scotland, understanding historic coal mining legacy considerations is an important part of bringing development opportunities forward with confidence.

Join the Mining Remediation Authority to learn how our Consultants' Reports, trusted information and specialist support help developers, consultants and planning professionals better understand coal mining considerations to support safe, sustainable development across Scotland's coalfields.

Lisa Conway, Client Relationship Manager, and Diane Paradise, Mining Consultant & Information Manager, will highlight the breadth of the Authority's work, from supporting development projects with reliable information to protecting communities through public safety, incident response and the ongoing management of Scotlands mining legacy.

Stuart Tennant of JWH Ross, and William Szeibert of DAM Geotechnical, who will share practical insight into how Mining Remediation Authority Consultants' Reports are used within development projects and the value they bring throughout the planning and development process and also in scoping and undertaking Site Investigations.

Together, the session will demonstrate how trusted information, technical expertise and ongoing support help provide confidence and clarity when considering land affected by past coal mining activity. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the support available and the important role the Mining Remediation Authority plays in protecting communities while helping to bring forward development opportunities across Scotland's coalfields.
