It is a pleasure to serve as Chair of the South Wales Hub Group for 2026.
Wales is unique in the UK:

with devolved Building Regulations,
-
a new building safety regime coming into force in 2026,

established SAB (SuDS Approval Body) (SuDS Sustainable Drainage Systems) requirements,

and is often under‑represented.
We aim to highlight this through regular technical talks and by promoting engineering across the region.
Please look out for event emails and join us when you can. We will also organise exam preparation and Eurocode design courses to support members’ development.
