Synopsis
This article describes the introduction of coordinated aluminium system buildings in the UK and Australia by British Aeroplane Company (Housing) Ltd (BAC) after World War II. Insights are provided into the rapid build and construction, together with experience of how the structures have performed and issues that may be encountered in those units that remain in use.
