THE following Data Notes have been contributed by Mr. G.B.R. Holloway (Member). It is felt that they may be found useful by other members, some of whom may also have compiled similar notes of their own. Members who have such data notes which they would like to contribute to these pages are invited to submit them to the Literature Committee, who will be pleased to consider them for publication.

THE object of the tanks to be described is to have a constant supply of static water scattered about an industrial town in convenient positions adjacent to large buildings such as factories, hospitals, storehouses and garages. J.T. Griffith
