A meeting of the Institution of Structural Engineers was held at 11, Upper Belgrave Street, London, S.W.l, on Thursday, 24th November, 1955, the President, Mr. Stanley Vaughan, B.Sc.(Eng.), M.I.C.E., in the Chair.
In Part I of this series we have discussed thelateral stability of tall single bay frames. General formulae relating to the sway of members when stability effects are important were given and these will be used again herein. To introduce the problem a particular family of single bay frames was solved analytically and an extension to multi-bay frames was also given. R. E. Bowles and W. Merchant
