The following Report which draws upon the conclusions reached in a number of recently published official Reports upon the supply and demand of professional engineering manpower has been produced by a small Committee under the Chairmanship of Sir Eric Mensforth, President of the Institution of Production Engineers, and including representatives of the Council of Engineering Institutions, the Royal Society, the scientific institutions and the Confederation of British Industry.
