A service of thanksgiving for the life and work of Cyril Morgan (Secretary of the Institution 1961-82 and Honorary Fellow, who died on 19 April 1994) was held on 22 February 1995 at St Peter’s Church, Eaton Square, London SWI. The service was conducted by the vicar, the Rev. D. B. Tillyer, and was followed by a reception and lunch at the Institution. Professor Sir Alan Harris
Mr R. Partington (Sir Norman Foster & Partners) This was possibly the most enjoyable project on which I have ever worked - partly because one was involved with, and had an influence on, parts of the structure in which architects are not normally involved.
Dr B. P. Sinha (F) and Dr S. R. Davies (University of Edinburgh) The authors are very critical of the equation proposed by EC6 Design of masonry structures for the calculation of the characteristic masonry strength.
