Structures is a collaboration between the Institution and Elsevier, publishing internationally-leading research across the full breadth of structural engineering which will benefi t from wide readership by academics and practitioners. Tom Shire finds the “less is more” approach of this book appealing to students looking for a straightforward and accessible textbook, but suspects UK undergraduates would prefer a book written specifically for a British audience.
