Mike Schlaich - Gold Medal Address 2015

Mike's lecture, "Gesamtkunstwerk", was given during our 2015 Singapore International Conference.

Mike Schalich, a world leading expert in lightweight structures, discusses structural engineers goals, their ideals and the question of what is good engineering. He argues that structural engineers should follow the principles of gesamtkunstwerk, or "ideal art", in order to deliver good buildings that contribute to quality of life.
