The following briefing provides an overview of how modern methods of construction (MMC) can be made more sustainable.

MMC and sustainability are top of the political agenda. The Institution has prepared a briefing note for the parliamentary group “Peers for the Planet” to explain what MMC is, its sustainability profile and what policy and design choices can deliver higher productivity and sustainability.

IStructE's extensive technical expertise and knowledge of MMC includes online resources such as webinars, articles, and training to explain its use as an innovative construction method. 

MMC aims to increase efficiency, reduce waste, ensure consistent quality, and otherwise improve the construction process, find out more about MMC.
