At this critical time for the UK economy, the submission by the National Engineering Policy Centre represents the views of the engineering sector. It supports two of the key priorities outlined in the UK government’s 2020 Spending Review. These are:
- Economic recovery (prioritising jobs and skills)
- Levelling-up (by investing in infrastructure and innovation)
The submission recommends 18 evidence based actions. These are grouped under four areas:
- Net zero
- Innovation
- Education and skills
- Infrastructure
